Affordable yoga classes in San Francisco

Would you like to get in better physical and mental shape?
Are gloomy San Francisco days getting you down?
Then brighten up your summer with Yoga classes!

Tony Eason is a great yoga teacher who offers donation based yoga classes every week. You pay what you can.

Classes are held at James Howell Studio at 66 ½ Sanchez St. (between Duboce and the Castro)

When: On Tuesday at 6 p.m. and Saturdays at 10 a.m.

Golf Lessons in Golden Gate Park

Do you know what “par for the course” means? What about “tee it up”? Well you can learn the meaning of these idioms and learn how to play Golf!
Join other ELI students for a fun afternoon in beautiful Golden Gate Park where you will experience the exciting game of golf.
The group lesson will be taught by professional PGA coach Bruce Olson who also happens to be an English teacher.

When: Friday afternoons. Please sign Up at the ELI office. Golf lessons are $50 per student including all fees and equipment. A group of 5 students is required to have a group lesson!

Segway Tours of Fisherman’s Wharf and Ghirardelli Square

Segways are the latest transportation craze! Segway is two-wheeled, self-balancing personal transportation machine which is fun to ride while you experience the sights and smells of Fisherman’s Wharf.
Enjoy getting to know San Francisco’s waterfront as well as spending time with other ELI students.

When: Sign up at ELI office. Segway Tour is $50 per person.

Museum of Craft and Folk Art with Etsy Labs

Practice speaking English while making an original piece of art or craft. This is a really fun event where you can meet new people and explore your creativity.
"Featuring an original, easy to follow, craft project designed to guide and encourage creativity, CRAFT BAR allows the participant to create a handmade take-away from a museum gallery setting. Activities are led by visiting artists or resident crafters, and drinks and snacks are included."

When: First Thursday of every month 6-9pm ($5 includes Gallery Admission and Craft Bar) 51 Yerba Buena Lane (Right across Market St. from ELI)

Free Walking Tours of San Francisco

Join other ELI students on a free walking tour of San Francisco neighborhoods and famous locations. Each tour is will be led by a local volunteer.
Please wear comfortable shoes and be ready for some famous San Francisco hills!

ZUMBA Dance/Exercise Class

This is very San Francisco!
CELLspace is an art and community center that offers many great programs and events. Alongside art classes, Cellspace offers dance and exercise classes.
ZUMBA combines high-energy and dynamic Latin rhythms with unique moves and combinations that allow ZUMBA participants to dance their worries and stress away. This is a great class that is fun and easy to do while allowing you to stick to the ZUMBA fitness program allowing you to achieve the long-term benefits of this fitness program.

When: Classes are on Saturdays 10:30am – 11:30am. $15.00/class, drop ins are welcome. If you are new it's $10.00 and if you bring a guest it's 10.00 for them that day as well. After ten classes pupils get one free.
